Will be vaguely in the area in my camper next week and thought of dropping by.
so, the questions are:
- though i read a fair amount, i wouldn't call myself a literary buff....but will there still be things of interest to see and do?
- does one really need to book in advance or can one just turn up and wing it?
- anyone done it on their ownsome? How was it?
- easy and cheapish options for parking a camper van?

cheers!

In reply to Kimono:

My in law takes her monster Hymer to hay most years - she books well in advance and still winds up a long way out of town, so it might be tricky. Having said that her enormous beige and draylon thing needs a lot of room.

hmm, mines a renault traffic so less of an issue hopefully
In reply to Kimono:
We used to go to Hay in our campervan and stay on a small site on the B4351 road to Clyro. Simple but friendly and walkable. I notice it does not come up as a campsite on Google maps but it may still be there.
