Any good ideas for places to camp with crags suitable for kids under 10 in either area? Any other advice regarding temperatures, walking, other activities (land or water based), food etc. gratefully received.
Thanks.

Really nice kid-friendly site here in the Auvergne - http://www.camping-les-bombes.com

Pool on the site, plus lake within walking distance.

Lovely village nearby. Can go for stunning walks on the Puy-de-Sancy.

This crag is just up the valley (it has a lot more than 2 routes) - La Dent de la Rancune

There are more nearby as well which aren't listed on UKC particularly over by Mont-Dore.

And regarding the Cevennes....

This is our favourite family campsite (so good we have been there twice) - http://camping-cevennes-nature.com/en/

Lovely shady campsite in the woods but what makes it really special is the river swimming nearby - some amazing places in these stunning rocky gorges which some people canyon up but we did in our swim suits and sandals.

Only problem is that the Cevennes is pretty rubbish for climbing (no crags on UKC) but it was 35 degrees when we were there so river swimming and big jumps were all we were after.
