Anyone in Essex want to start climbing?

Hi is there anyone in Essex who wants to get into climbing? Would like to meet up with people and start climbing. My local climbing clubs have a waiting list which is a shame. Although I'am on the waiting list god knows when a space becomes available.

Where in Essex are you? High Sports Basildon doesn't have a waiting list, afaik. Take their introduction sessions and then Monday nights are geared towards beginners, with instructors and a lot of helpful climbers

Have you tried at the Lock Climbing Centtre, Harlow ? I know Chelmsford club go there regularly but I think the climbing centre has its own club as well. Good luck

Get down to Basildon high sports, it is the most welcoming wall I have been to. You will find someone to climb with. Don't know why any club would have a waiting list.

Cause climbing clubs can be real cliquey or maybe just not that socially outgoing. Very welcoming at Basildon though. My advice is to be a club whore and go wherever and whenever possible.
Try Tiptree wall. Give me a shout if you do.
