Morning,
I'm in the middle of a search for sleeping bag & mat combo that will hopefully see me through a few different environments and situations. I've done a fair bit of research but its safe to say its a bit of an expensive minefield so any recommendations would be really helpful.
The immediate need is to have something for bivvying outside in the Alps in early July at around 2/3000m (of which I have little experience) which is light and packs down small. I'd also want to use it early spring to late autumn in the UK, more probably in a tent.
The Alpkit Pipedreams look good and also the more expensive Rab Neutrino, but would the 200 version be too light or the 400 version overkill? Any experiences with these would be great to hear, or what you use to get a decent night's kip (relatively speaking!)
Then there's the mats....
Any advice would be much appreciated.
