Hello!

Im wondering if anyone has any info or suggestions for resources/ books/ websites about climbing around the cusco area in Peru!

A friend is based in cusco temporarily and I have a couple of weeks, so climbing trip it is.

Hopefully looking for something in the 4-5000m range as only have 2 weeks to acclimatise (and never been higher than 4400m) Im guessing its a bit short for higher altitude?

As for level, normally climb around AD-D level in the alps or around 6a max for long adventure rock routes. Anything at this grade considered!

Many thanks!

Depends what else you have planned, but you could easily get up a few peaks in that time. A few of the bigger peaks near Cusco are pretty serious but the Cordillera Vilcanota has plenty of mountains both easy and hard, with good access due to the Ausangate Circuit trek.
