I have planned to do the tour des dents blanches route at the end of July with my Husband & Son. I have done high altitude routes, climbed in the past, but never done any winter mountaineering. My husband has done up to grade 2 scrambles in the past. He is worried about there being snow and not knowing the surroundings is making him nervous. Has anyone completed the route - is it difficult do you need crampons? I have harnesses, slings and gear from my climbing days, but not crampons.
