Is this a possibility?
Supposedly breaking news-in talks with the England hierarchy.
Somehow I wonder if this would go against the grain.
I was pleased that France beat Germany, as it broke down a certain arrogance. Yet perhaps I should swallow my ideology and consider if a different tack would improve the England team.

When he was manager of the German national he insisted on still living in California and most people in Germany thought that was a big hindrance to his ability to do the job. I don't see how he could do the job properly from 6,000 miles away. It would all depend on whether he was prepared to relocate to England and I don't think he would be.

He or whoever takes the reins has two years to bring in younger players who are not so pompous and full of themselves and are keen to meld as a team.
