A grinding sound from my rear brake yesterday indicated that it was about time I had new brake shoes. The ones that were on had lasted about 3 years anyway. The cheapest replacement shoes I could find for my Campag Veloce brakes was £20.99 for a set of 4. As the Shoes on my winter bike ( Campag Mirage callipers) looked as though they could do with replacing that was going to set me back £42 which I thought was a tad steep!

As I'm a tight sod I did a quick search and found Merlin were offering a pair of brand new (2014 model) Veloce callipers for £ 16.50 a pair. 2 pairs ordered and saved myself £9. The old callipers were starting to look a little tatty anyway so 'the job's a good un'
