In the coming weeks I should be going on holiday with my family and I am not sure I can last two weeks without climbing! We should be staying for a week near Royan, I have done some googling but can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know of any bouldering within a couple of hours drive? Thanks!

I used to spend a lot of time near there and I don't recall anything at all, even within a couple of hours. The best I can advise is to eat oysters and drink wine, and if you are into surfing at all go to Oleron. Not what you were after but hopefully someone else might know of something.

As you can see there's not much, mostly low-grade crags and what little bouldering there is is likely to be overgrown but it's worth a try I suppose, Bourg Charente might be worth a go. There's a "map" here: http://yann11sblog.canalblog.com/archives/2007/01/13/3662064.html
