The Pinnacle Climbing Centre is recruiting a new full time Chief Instructor

The Pinnacle Climbing Centre, based in Northampton is an awesome facility. We have over 50 rope lines in our main climbing area, which is 12.5m high and another 15 lines in our upstairs group room, along with a great bouldering room with 70 problems from V0 to V8+. Add to that 60m of world class indoor caving, café, seating and corporate training spaces and you get the idea - the potential is enormous.....

We are currently getting busier and busier with group and corporate sessions, and want to push the centre to the next stage of growth. We also have a superb youth squad who are performing well at a national level and need continual input to develop further.

Is this the role for you?

The successful applicant will be responsible for the instructional team at The Pinnacle Climbing Centre, including managing and developing staff, promoting the use of the centre to the general public and driving sales, with a particular emphasis on a positive approach to customer satisfaction, care, service and safety. You should be able to demonstrate excellent computer, literacy and language skills, excellent time keeping and be a smart, well presented individual.

Duties
• Instructing sessions and supervising the instruction team
• Rota planning for instructional staff
• Session and program planning
• Developing our kids’ clubs and youth climbing team
• Developing and overseeing NICAS to level 5 within the Centre, and working with other climbing walls as awarding centres
• Dealing with customers and staff in a friendly, efficient manner
• Working on reception, taking bookings, phone calls and cash handling
• Working closely with, and assisting centre management in all aspects of the day to day running of the centre
• Selling services and products offered
• Key Holding, including opening and closing the premises

Experience and Qualifications
The successful applicant will ideally have the following:

• Relevant industry experience
• CWLA, including abseil Module
• Development Coach Award (or similar)
• First aid qualification
• A full DBS check will be carried out and must be clean

Remuneration
Based upon experience and qualifications, Circa £18,000 to £22,000 P/A. Plus great benefits package.
