It must have been an older carriage I guess? The same thing happened to the brother of a lady who lives on my childhood road a long time ago.

This news did make me think about the Roahld Dahl guide to rail safety we were all given at school.
It's probably considered too gruesome to give to kids these days

Apparently not the case.

From the BBC news site:

Inspector James Tyrrell added: "We are aware of a number of reports on social media which say the man was decapitated as a result of this incident. However, this is not the case."
