Is there not one planned for Killie by Above Adventure? But anything in area would be good.

Agree, Above Adventures have advised that their bouldering wall will be open this Autumn, with their climbing area open late next year.

Would their be enough interest in an Ayr and a Kilmarnock wall - think so, enough of a population spread between them to serve both - good luck!

I think it is more of a case of "build it and they will come" to quote field of dreams

There was discussion for one in Irvine a number of years ago. Lots of positive comments about the project however there was a lack of input from the climbing community, so went cold (and a pub put in a "better offer"). I feel it would get used well (probably in both) of these locations. And appeal to the larger "new" and "intro to" climbing communities, and its in the 2020 olympics so big uptake coming.

Good luck
