Hi all,Apologies for the usual fingerboard post, but just would like some tailored advice.
Won't go into too much detail about the room I'm mounting the board in, as I think I've ruled out some different options, and want advice on my current line of thought.
One side of the room is brick, the opposite side in a stud wall. The space between is 6foot.
I'm thinking about mounting a beam across the room, but not sure on thickness of the beam, or how best to mount it to either side?

Maybe a beam across and a second beam a couple foot higher and plywood between the two to mount the board and maybe some extra holds on?
I also want to set up a pulley system for the board. So could screw these into the bottom of the beam

Thanks in advance, and sorry for probably covering old ground or easily google able things!

I'd use a length of 7" x 2" and some of these http://www.screwfix.com/p/multi-truss-hanger-50-x-165mm-10-pack/25047 to hang it on.
