Friend wants to buy some cycle kit and they seem to be noticeably cheaper than anyone else.
Seems legit... Unless you know better!
Cheers

I bought a harness and chalk-bag from them about 10 days ago (couldn't get the one I wanted in the UK), good price, excellent communication, super-speedy (tracked) delivery.

Couldn't fault them,

I've used them on many occasions and have always found them excellent.

They are fine. Reason they are cheap is they don't pay UK tax

I think it has more to do with the relative strength of the pound vs the euro, plus they are probably just cheap. As a German shop selling to individuals UK, the products will include German VAT on the price.

Sometimes faster than the deliveries from the UK...

Great stuff, but keep in mind that returns/warranty repairs can be trickier.

I've used them a few times - no complaints.

We've used them loads and they've always been brilliant.

I use them. They are quick, cheap and very helpful. If it is something specific you want, which is usually a big seller, and you are in no rush, watch the site every couple of day.. They put most products on at up to 60% off, but only for a very short time and only a very few things at once.

Thanks for posting that, some good bargains there

No, they pay tax in Germany where the shop is. How dare they!

To the OP: another positive review, wish independents in the UK could manage to keep their prices this low.

I've used them once would use again. Delivery was very slow but it was an unusual order, I seem to be in the minority.

OK thanks everyone that appears to be a resounding thumbs up. I'll pass the info on.

...or your friend could just find and support a good LBS.

Actually now that they sell enough stuff to UK, they do pay UK VAT for the stuff they ship to UK. (That be the bad EU legislation, that requires such actions).

And Bergfreunde is one of the biggest online shops in Germany. Legit, quick to ship and generally good prices.

Had no problems, when my DMM Vector broke down. Emailed them a few pics, and a few days later new rucksack was at my doorstep (together with instruction and on how to ship the broken bag to DMM).

True, but I believe its some cycle clothing that is rather hard to find with only Evans as a known stockest.

Speaking for myself I have to say that LBS's aren't somewhere I particuarly frequent and it's not about the prices as I'm happy to pay RRP but hassle and time involved.
