Does anyone have any recommendations for a book covering typical rope management techniques, primarily for trad climbing, so ideally it would detail suitable knots, belaying methods, top roping, mountain scrambling, descending, moving together etc etc. It wouldn't need to go into Alpine/big wall stuff though, but hopefully it would be fairly "up to date" with the equipment used. Many thanks for any suggestions.

In reply to Postmanpat: +1 from me. Originally released as two books 1990 & 1998 then combined into a single book in 2001. Not got the most recent bits of hardware, but apart from that it's great.

I think the Libby Peter book comes highly recommended. My ex lodger used this on her outdoorsy degree course I believe
