One of the keys to our success is that retail staff has the knowledge and expertise to talk to their customers with confidence about our products, so we are looking for an outdoor enthusiast who understands our products, our customers, and has the ability and presentation skills to inspire retail staff with our brand message and product knowledge.
As a technical sales trainer you will travel extensively throughout the Northern region of the UK which will take in all stores above the M62 corridor, the ideal base for the successful candidate will be around the Lancaster/Kendal area. You will be visiting key accounts where you will be responsible for the motivation and training of retail personnel. Your goal will be to promote both of our brands values and the technical specification of the products and to develop excellent lasting working relationships.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well organised and a great communicator. You may already be working in outdoor retail or elsewhere within the outdoor industry and will be passionate about the outdoors. You may have a background in Sales, Training and/or teaching. The role involves regular travel away from home to cover the large territory, as well as regular visits to the Equip offices in Alfreton and some weekend work at trade shows etc.
