The weirdest sequence of moves I've ever seen. Ondra's project, a possible 9c at Flatanger...

Not bad but the big question is...

...what's he done on grit?

You haven't mastered grit till you've done three pebble slab.

On a serious note that's an amazing video. I've never seen anyone move like that before.

I wish that phrase about grit would just vanish from the collective climbing hive mind. It makes me cringe every time i see it.

As for the moves, mental. Could we have a new race for the first 9c? Ondra's project vs Le Blonde

Jeepers. What's the chat about? Is this Ondra on someone else's project, or vice versa?

Funny in a way - the sport route of the future looks to be a roof crack! The moves don't look unlike those seen on e.g. Cobra Crack. Looks great.

Is the obvious left-right slanting 'ramp' a route? That's some line!

I think he's done a lot of sandstone climbing in Czech so grit wasn't all that alien to him.

Quite common maneuver in crack climbing...inverting. He uses the vague, flared horrible looking crack for his feet.
Still looks absolutely mental and might even be 9c! The mind boggles... 7c is still so far away!

He actually looked pretty solid on that (compared with that hideously awkward looking 9b+ thing he did there). Presumably this sequence comes after 50m of 9a+ or something though........

Yeah it was that figure of four heel hook type thing that I'd never seen. Unbelievable stuff.

I think this question should be replaced with...

...but is it art?
