I want to buy a new headtorch for my son and i'll probably end up buying the same for me, as i'm currently using a BD Spot of some vintage and its just bright enough but i'd like longer lasting brightness.
Use is multipitch mountain routes, camping, walking down. No intentional climbing in the dark, but need to cover that if we are slower than expected through the shorter days etc.
I've narrowed it down to three - but not sure which to go for. Budget is strictly limited to £40 max.
1) Black Diamond Storm, the lightest and simplest of the group.
2) Alpkit Arc - I particularly like the easy-change battery pack on these.
3) LED Lenser H7.2
So whats the consensus?
