Was thinking about stretching the legs this weekend and doing a few Munro's but fancy breaking up the plodding with a spot of bouldering - nothing extreme as a mat will not be packed. Just after some quality rock with a bit of interest, looking for some suggestions in the southern highlands... there's a few I can think of with plenty of rocky outcrops but cant remember if the quality of the rock is up to much.

Your walk spec sounds to me like the Aonach Eagach.

The Arrochar hills are pretty rocky - Ben Vane http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1874195 and Ben Vorlich http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1850947 are covered in outcrops and boulders

There are a mass of boulders just off the track that runs between the Cobbler and Beinn Narnain.

Quality scrambling and bouldering on and around the Arran peaks. I recall some great bits of rock to play on on the saddle between Glens Rosa and Sannox.

Arran is perfect were it not for that pesky wet stuff surrounding it.
