My lady girlfriend said she'd spice mine up with some of the doodles she's always drawing!

never really liked the camp helmets , solely based on how they look . but this makes it more than
acceptable now

Certainly different.Probably better than a plain white.
I'm probably being unfair, but it reminds me of someone having coloured in a disposable Doily(if that's how it's spelled) and I wonder about how waterproof the colours are..

Why did you think you needed a new helmet?

Based on nothing other than I never liked the look of the camp helmets , I bought second hand for 10 euro .

Its actually a great helmet other than it looks a bit naff .

Be careful what you put on a helmet, solvents such as those used in marker pens and lacquer can cause the plastic to weaken.

I don't know how much of a risk it is, but it's against manufacturers instructions, probably for a reason.

I know petzl supply stickers for kids helmets with adhesive that is approved to not weaken the plastic.

My mam told me that when I turned 13, best advice ever.

In reply to marsbar:

I had considered that alright but its doubtful the length of time the solvents used in pens hang around for will impact the materiel .

''Polypropylene is more resistant to organic chemicals than
are most other commercially available thermoplastics. At
room temperature, polypropylene is insoluble in practically
all organic solvents. ''

http://pipesak.com/weights/Resources/Chemical%20Resistance%20of%20Polypropy...

Sharpies use alcohol as there solvent so i should be ok .

I was thinking about using PVA as a clear coat as its water based .
