Can anyone tell me where and how I can sell my 3 year old canondale caad8 bike as I have upgraded?

Depends on how active he has been, and how well he has maintained it I guess. We don't have a mileage system for valuing bikes.
A 20 year old bike bought but rarely used is as new, but his might actually have had some heavy use.

It's a 2300 model discounted at £350, we don't know what the OP has, it could easily be a Tiagra or 105 model.

If it is in reasonable condition and one of those two models, I would say £200-300. A bit less if it is a 2300.
