My parents have just booked a weeks holiday at lake Garda. They've thankfully agreed that I'll get the chance for a day or two of climbing as I've heard the routes in that area are brilliant. Can anybody reccomend any routes/ crags that are easy enough for my younger brother to climb and also a bit more challenging for me?

Thanks

Are you sure that's Spain.. or Italy?

Definitely check your geography.

Might be some awesome routes around Lake Garda..but no good to you..if your 1000+ miles away in Spain.

Assuming you mean Lake Garda in Italy, then the top end of the valley is one of climbing's meccas - Arco. However it popularity means that the easier routes are polished horrors that are far harder than the grades suggest.

This crag further down the valley - Marciaga - might be better, but it's over 10 years since I was there.

Not all of them. Chris. There's quite a drive in that area to open up new sectors that cater for the sub-6 climber; if you get away from the hammered favourites there is some nice rock to be found.
