I've a friend visiting this weekend and am wondering what mischief we can get up to. We both climb, though him not so much any more, and he's done quite a bit of caving. I'm wondering about doing a trip up
Strans gill, which I gather is quite easy and it has been fairly dry recently, and then making it more interesting by coming back down
Crook Gill. We'd obviously take a short ab rope for Crook Gill.
I've not done any gill scrambling and I'm just wondering whether going down Crook is too much for this time of year and just a recipe for misery and hypothermia? Any thoughts?
