Has anyone been to the Rwenzoris recently and have any knowledge of the current conditions of the huts / camps and other stuff in the area?
I was in the area a couple of years ago (got as high as Mutinda Lookout but didn't have enough time to go higher) and know some of the bottom of the trek around the park entrance from Kilembe had been washed away by flooding. I assume it has been rebuilt by now?
I'm looking at putting together a trip in June 2017 from Kilembe with Rwenzori Trekking Services for guiding, porters, and other support.
Also can anyone recommend a map? I've used the Terra Quest 'Africa The Highest Peaks' before for Kilimanjaro but seem to have lost my copy. (I know it's guided and on a path but I like to have a map anyway).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. if anyone is interested in joining the trip, I'm happy to go in a group.
