I was quite moved this morning to see Sgt. Johnson Beharry VC in the London Remembrance Parade pushing a wheel chair in which sat Sgt. Bill Speakman VC. Speakman is a survivor of the Korean War. Two very gallant gentlemen.
Beharry was interviewed this morning and recounted how, a few years ago, he supported Harry Patch in the parade. Apparently Patch said something along the lines that he felt honoured to be in Beharry's presence to which Beharry replied that it was he who felt honoured being there to help Harry Patch.
