Just back from Tenerife and had a great couple of days climbing at Arico and on the crags in the crater. Very cold in the crater first thing. There was no snow on the summit when we were there but temps well below freezing.

If you are thinking about cycling as well I can recommend Bike Point for bike hire. We had a couple of Ridley bikes for three days (Fenix and a Liz). Wasn't cheap but the bikes were very well maintained and a joy to ride. http://www.bikepointtenerife.com/

I'll be in Tenerife next week and staying on a couple of days (22-24th) after my non-climbing friend leaves and would love to get a solid days climbing in if you need a partner? Cheers, Ed

I was in Tenerife 2 weeks ago for a couple of days, didn't plan anything before we went because it was a spur of the moment flight booking.

Suggestion for a wet weather day....try the canyoning. Ive done a few canyons before but this one was in a league of its own, we had such a good time, big jumps, abseils, water falls etc and at the end, there is a 1.5 hour scramble up which was pretty hard core (they don't tell you about this before you go, and if you are unfit looking they wont even take you down that canyon to avoid the scramble)

Really worth the money!!

Heres a link to their website: http://www.xploretenerife.com/

Hi Graham

It sometimes takes us a while to spot things! Afraid we can't allow commercial names. It is not very likely that someone from Google may spot it, but they might, and if they did then we would both be in trouble. However of far more problem is the precedent it sets for other user names that people might use which are certainly not allowed. We had someone trying to call themselves Petzl a few years ago but they had nothing to do with Petzl.

You can change your name yourself using the User Options in the top right drop-doiwn menu when logged on.

Cheers

Alan
