I'm heading back home to Newcastle for Christmas, and would like to get out and remind myself of the joys of Northumberland sandstone while I'm there. Does anyone have any idea whether anything's climbable currently, or is it all a bit damp?

Kyloe and Bowden were fine yesterday. Hepburn was also mint on Saturday though it rained Saturday night over in Bellingham (callerhues way) so we didn't go to callerhues instead heading to shaftoe, which was drying out well.

Imagine callerhues would be good unless it rained last night?

Thanks all. May head up to Bowden tomorrow or the day after unless it rains in the interim. Also keen to get to Simonside at some point; quite fancy soloing my first ever lead and a couple of other routes there that I never did get round to getting on.
