Hi all, after proposing to my GF on NY's and getting a yes, we are planning a tour of Italy and I was wanting to visit Sperlonga. Our European cousins love their sport climbing and I'm happy for them but we however are rather more trad based. Does anyone know if there are any trad climbs in the area or if there might be perhaps other venues more suitable. Sperlonga was high on the list due to it being coastal. As always, any help is greatfully appreciated.

In reply to olddirtydoggy: not sure if there's any useful trad nowadays, but there is really impressive multipitch a few km south at Gaeta. when we did spigolo, it was trad more or less. topo here (scoll down): https://www.google.at/amp/s/danilo.blog/2015/04/18/gaeta-via-dello-spigolo/...

there's more difficult stuff as well on that face, with croce del sud being considered special.

in our '90ies guidebook there was also something north of sperlonga ... leano, if i recall correctly - not sure of the quality there.
