Hi,
I am doing a little bit of research into the summer haute route (with the glaciers etc.) and it has proved trickier than anticipated! I have searched the forums and found this info so far (I thought I would put it here for others who are also searching the forums on the same topic):

Not bought the book (yet) but was wondering if anyone had any experience of walking the "taxi" leg on the first link? It seems a little strange but I imagine it is there for a reason!
Also am I correct in thinking it is basically just glacier travel with some cols etc (i.e. facile/pd-)?
Any information or experiences will be gratefully received!
Thank you,
Joe
Edit: P.S. Apparently the non-taxi version is the "purists" route!
