Going climbing in Sicily end of March (for 2 weeks), and want to do some walking/exploring too. But climbing is at San Vito Lo Capo (out of the way on NW tip). Any-one know about interesting walking round there? Or is it better to spend some of our holiday not based at the one place?
Another question: Any-one recommend any easy multipitch routes? (grade 4 - 5+)

In reply to climber_Ken:
Between San Vito lo Capo and Scopello is the Zingaro national park which has great walks, some along the coast and some high on the mountain ridge, maps available at the park entrance. Across the bay from the climbing is Monte Cofano, a national nature reserve with some fine walks, especially the tour right round the mountain over the col between it and the mainland. There are more possibilities nearby, to the south is an area of woodland with some nice walks and sandstone boulders, ask at YMCA Climbing House for details. I think you will find enough to do in the area for a fortnight, there is lots to see and much wild country around.
