So, I haven't done any mountaineering or winter climbing yet but I'm really keen to learn the skills and build up to be able to do the Mont Blanc ridge.

Would anyone be able to recommend me some boots that'd do the job ? I'd also appreciate some advice about axes and crampons

Thanks

Get into a proper shop and have a fitting. Book it up and expect to spend at least an hour being fitted. Nobody can answer the question as everyone's feet are different shapes so what works for one person will be terrible for another.
The boots you end up with will determine the crampons to a degree. Tell the guys in the shop exactly what you want the boots for - it may be that you are better starting with a B2 boot and then getting B3s at a later date once you have more experience.

In reply to Scott K: thanks for that, would b3's be a bit too much for the MB ridge ?

i run quite warm had B2s on and it was cold. The majority will be wearing B3 so its a safe option
