looking at heading over to snowdonia to test out some alpine summer bivvy kit and i thought i could incorporate a few easy grade climbs, i havent done any winter climbing before and unfortunately i will be solo. I was looking at the gullies on the east face of Tryfan but being the east face will probably be the last to come into condition? So if anybody has been in the past few days can advise a few simple routes to practice on that would be great.

As nothing is likely to be in nick, I would stick to the ridges. Bristly ridge. crib Goch north ridge is quiet until it meets the east ridge. Parsons arĂȘte is good, as is cneifon arĂȘte (not sure or your ability so you might not want to solo this).

Cwm Glas would be a nice place to bivvy.
