Does anybody know where i can pick up a little white counter to glue to a compass, for use when pacing?

I always find it simpler to gag my companions and concentrate pure dead hard on the counting.

I bought one, and it's about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Stick some chord grips on your compass string, or a bit attached to your rucksack straps.

In reply to Li'l Zé: i do the same, generally your only pacing out up to a few hundred yards, sometimes 1/2km so I find i cancount easily enough, Id probably get messed up, had i moved the beads etc.

I always use my fingers. Seems to work well enough, though I suppose might be a problem if you develop frostbite part-way through.
