From Glen Dale posted at boldering.com.....

"Over the Christmas John gasking climbed Darkness before Dawn in Glendasan, Wicklow.

This is Irelands hardest problem (Font 8a+/v12) and one of the best lines around.

John said about the problem "It's a 3 star classic problem, I'd say it is one the best things I've ever climbed, I'm really pleased to have done such a good problem."

For photos and more information see

There is a bouldering meet in Wicklow on the weekend of the 5/6/7th of March based around the mountaineering hut in Glendasan.

I never contrive controversy dear Fiend, climbers are controversial enough without having to contrive anything.

That sounds contrived.

Nuff respec MickMan. Do you fancy honorary membership of the HayezSquad www.hayezsquad.co.uk. I'm sure that they'd swing it for a geezer like you.
