Yeti gaiters with Step in crampons OK ?

Anyone use stepin crampons with Yeti (like the Extreme) gaiters ?

Are they secure ?

Cut a little of the gaiter's rand away from where it would usually cover the 'hollow' that the stepin bar sits in.

I've also done this on the heel area, they are very secure.

(My rands haven't torn since doing this)

In reply to Steve: No problems with Grivel 2fs and Rambos used with Nepal Extremes. Just make sure they are adjusted correctly. Probably not recommended with bendy boots like Mantas. Good luck.
