Hey all.

Am looking for a rope bag to compliment my top rope/sport mid way kit.

Basically I was thinking of getting a straight rope bag (or using something home grown) but after a few climbs I have realised I need something bigger and better.

Does any one have any recommendations on a pack that is big enough to hold *all* the gear for 2 people - rope, cords, slings, qds, shoes, harnesses, tarp - and still have a bit of room left over?

The plan is
I lug the gear. My friend lugs the food and drink & other supplies.

Or is there something flawed with my idea?

I saw the edelrid crag bag might do what I want. Thoughts?

Thanks

The Ikea Big Blue Bag is excellent.

Pros: Very Cheap
Cons: Have to go to Ikea to buy it!

Outside ( http://www.Outside.co.uk/ ) have got the DMM Delux rope bag reduced to £20.
Simple design with shoulder straps and a big tarp; holds 2x50m 9mm with room to spare.

Dear Brett

Have you thought of cutting down on the gear, food and drink.

PS What is your "other supplies"?

Nots sure if your talking of a rope bag or a rucksack, but I use a pod rope bag and its great, most have open ends which tends to let the rope spill out when lugging it to a crag, the pod is a closed bag, so no spillage!
