It may be wishful thinking but has anybody been up to see if the downfall is frozen?

I was just hinking the same thing. I was yomping around in Hope yesterday ( Leaving the winter training a bit late this year )

I got a good view of Kinder and it had a fair dusting of old snow/ice grains (About a foot). But it must be a lot deeper after todays snow! And with the -6C temperature predicted (On the news). There maybe a posibility???

I wonder how much ice can form in one night??

I climbed the downfall three or four years ago on new years day after a much longer freeze than present. it was complete but still running in places. new years eve will be your last chance before the thaw sets in! It's a pleasant wander up there anyway.
