Drive safe in the U Haul and try not to let the kids make you detour via Disneyland.

Bishop will still be there if you ever get the urge to visit. Did you get your Royston Vasey project done?

Holy shit Mick

Why?

I hope you've finished the guide

In reply to Mick - Rockfax USA:

Good luck with it all, Mick.

You can still return for a holiday now and again.

Is there much bouldering where you going to be living now?

Good luck with the move Mick - we were watching West Coast Pimp last night and reminiscing (spotted Kev's flash dyno move at the end - wicked!). Did you get the CD's ok?
sloper 04 Jun 2004
In reply to Mick - Rockfax USA: I bet there's a shed load of bouldering up there to be developed, but the winters might be a bit, how shall we put it, er fookin' freezin'.

There does seem to be a lack of bouldering guides to the area

I just started to get to know you and bishop and you're already missed! Take care! And come back!
In reply to Mick - Rockfax USA:

Best of luck Mick and Gabrielle in your new home. I’ll miss camping in your garden but hope to visit some time when you get established in the East.

All the best,

Andy

Hope it works out well for you Mick. I'm going to drag you down to the Gunks next time I'm in New York.

In reply to Pete W:

You're weird.

Best of luck Mick - I'd be gutted if I lived in Bishop and had to leave.

Was crap anyway
Went once and was really disappointed. Even Stanage Plantation is better and Font beats it 25 times over
Anonymous 05 Jun 2004
In reply to Philip J Smith:

Font - excellent
Bishop - excellent with superb scenery
Plantation - big steaming pile

Bishop wins, I think.
 Chris Fryer 06 Jun 2004
Good Luck Mick. Did you get Drifter in the bag before you left?
Tony M 07 Jun 2004
In reply to Mick - Rockfax USA:
Bishop won't be the same without you. Thanks for some great times & all the best to Gabrielle, Xavier, & Fliss. I feel an east coast trip coming on.
Cheers

In reply to Mick - Rockfax USA: Good luck with the move Mick. Don't forget to take some Owl & Cragrat flyers with you!
Mick - on the road 11 Jun 2004
In reply to internationale:

I'm considering Kansas after visiting Rock City the other day.

Why move? Several reasons. The biggie is that we need a 4 bedroom house and can't afford it in Bishop...house prices have gone through the roof there.

Other reasons: educational and cultural and family.

Looking forward to exploring the Adirondacks, climbing at the Gunks, Quebec, and hitting the grit now and again.

cheers,

Mick
