Adam Ondra from the Czech Republic, has onsighted four 8a+ routes on a recent visit to Gorges du Tarn in France. What is most amazing is that Adam is only 10 years old, or possibly 11 years old. In March 8a.nu reported that Adam had onsighted two 8a+ routes at Seynes in France, but on that occasion he was 11 years old. Either way it is an extremely impressive age to be doing that sort of thing.

Does anyone know the history of young Adam ?. I want to know if my 5 year old son is already off the pace towards rock climbing stardom.

In reply to Simon Lee: Don't worry. Your lad will only be 4 years old in a couple of months.

If nothing else, the kid seems to get some pretty good holidays in. It will be interesting to see what such an early development does for him - superstardom or burnout by 18 ?
