When buying skis we experience problems concerning correct sizing from the stores. We have reasons to believe that their sizing suggestions are analogous to their stock! We would appreciate if you advice us on this matter.
For example what are the proper sizes for: male 1.92m tall, 95kg and male 1,80m, 75kg both novice skiers but expert climbers using Dynafit TL All Terrain Carve skis?
It was reported to us that earlier versions of TLT4 boot are not quite compatible with the newer Tristep binding. The toe binding did not lock properly when climbing; hence the boot comes off all the time. The situation improved when binding was removed and it’s down side smoothed further (the binding bended when screwed on the skis), but it was not enough. We believe that drilling further the holes on the boot might solve the problem. The skis used are Dynafit TL All terrain carve.
Furthermore a toe binding just broke to pieces, without doing anything extreme (fortunately!). The result was just a simple fall without any injuries; only the broken binding and a long walk home carrying the skis.
