Just got some Berghaus yeti gaiters for the winter time - they are a right pain in the proverbial to fit!!! but i was wondering, how i go about fitting the crampons onto the boot and gaiter, because the gaiter covers the bit at the back where the rear bail of the crampon latches onto!!! Any suggestions?

A mate of mine used to fit crampons with his yetis by not fitting the gaiter all the way over the boot allowing the front and back grooves to be accessed (but making the gaiters look stupid). The bit of rubber that goes across the sole of the boot gets pretty stretched doing this.

Lift the rand of the gaiter up so that the attachment point is visible. Likewise at the front. It's what we always used to do with them.
