I hear bits have fallen off this route, is it still HVS. And Centaur is described as having pitons and peg belays - is it reasonable to lead it with a modern rack? Any info gratefully teceived.

The diversion onto the front of the flake: E1.
Original way: E3 5b?

Did The Centaur in May. Don't recall using any situ gear at all.

On a Friday afternoon, its probably better to post on Rocktalk than Down the Pub ! The deviation out left goes at E1.

Yep, concur with E3 and E1. Seem to remember chockstone went about ten years ago and a lad leading it was tragically killed when it severed an artery...

In reply to Timbo:

I think it was the belayer that was killed, for what its worth.
