Optimising strength and weight, Metolius have come up with a 35g full-size over strength 'biner. Not quite the lightest example out there, but sometimes the finer points are lost in statistics.

In practice, the Metolius Inferno karabiner is a dream to use. The huge gate opening and ther overall action of the gate means desperate clips instantly become easier. The Inferno is also reasuringly stronger than the competition, with very impressive open gate and cross-load ratings on top of the 28kN 'correct use' rating.

Metolius test each individual karabiner at their facility in Bend, Oregon, before releasing to market, just another example of their pholosophy 'Safer by Design'
