Mammut Mamook GTX Mountain Shoe

© Mammut
Mammut's lightest crampon-compatible mountain shoe for technically demanding climbing.

This lightweight shoe made from abrasion resistant Microfibre Racing and Dropstop textile provides great flexibility and has strong lateral support, thanks to integrated Mammut®Motion Control. Cushioning Hybrid Shell supports exactly and only where necessary. Asymmetric lacing takes the anatomy of the foot into consideration and means more pressure and precision on your big toes. The waterproof GORE-TEX® Insulated Comfort Footwear membrane, the very grippy Vibram® Teton sole with carbon insole and the situationally-individually adjustable 3 Zone Lacing system complete this quality shoe.

Suitable for:

  • Alpinism
  • Mixed and ice climbing

Details:

  • Colour: black-fire
  • Weight: 1720g in size 8.5
  • Lining: GORE-TEX® Insulated Comfort Footwear

More details:

  • 3 Zone Lacing
The instep, heel pull and cuff are independently laced and secured, providing a first-rate fit for every shape of foot and activity.
  • Asymmetric lacing
Adapts to the foot's anatomy and enhances precise footwork as more pressure can be applied to the big toe.
  • Ortholite® Footbed Micro
This patented Mammut® technology is an anatomically shaped heel cap which prevents the foot from twisting outwards by means of a reinforced interior.
  • Wide, medium-height tread
This makes the mountaineering sole light, slip-proof, and still extremely resistant to abrasion. The climbing zone at the tip supports friction climbing to a certain extent.
  • 100% guaranteed waterproof
Thanks to premium quality, high-fitting, sealed insert socks made of PTFC (PolyTetraFluorCarbone). This version is fitted with an additional warm layer.
  • Constructed from a blend of supple inner and tough outer materials
Which means the boot is hard only where necessary and can be designed to fit the foot for enhanced comfort.
  • Motion Control®
Prevents the foot from bending over outwards thanks to a reinforced inner side.
