The Freney XT GTX © Scarpa, Oct 2006
The Freney XT GTX is a modern alpine boot made in lightweight and abrasion resistant K-TECH. It is intended for use on classic alpine routes and its absolute lightness will appeal to climbers tackling long and difficult alpine itineraries. The Freney XT was designed for use by mountain guides and other climbers who wear their boots day in, day out, on the most varied terrain, while carrying heavy loads, using crampons and tackling rock climbs, and who want total comfort. Freney XT has a rigid sole based on the Cumbre sole design, which
features maximum adhesion and stability, and provides the foot with a maximum surface area for grip and braking. Internally, it is Gore-Tex Dura Therm Lined for outstanding warmth. The boot also now features the GSB (Grivel Scarpa Binding) system for crampon attachment.
