VIDEO: Introducing The New line of Petzl Charlet ice tools - QUARK NOMIC ERGO

Introducing the new line of Petzl Charlet ice axes: the QUARK and the NOMIC have been improved and the ERGO is back! The modular design of the new line allows the climber to configure the tools according to his or her needs and the terrain.

- The QUARK is the perfect multi-purpose tool for ice and technical alpine climbing. This new version is lighter and modular for all-terrain use.

- The NOMIC is the tool for ice and mixed climbing and is now compatible with a hammer or adze.

- With its radically curved shaft, the ERGO is designed especially for steep and difficult dry tooling, ice climbing and competitions.

Superb video with some great footage.....interesting looking double trigger on the new quark....a bit like the one on the Rebel except it is retractable and can slide up and down.

anybody know if you can set the nomic up with another rest like the ergo? it looks like it simply bolts on to the shaft but i can't see it listed as a spare part on the website. Also here used to be an option of cascade picks for the nomic which don't seem to be listed any more either - have these been phased out? If so will the old version fit the new model?

Why would they sell you a new handle when they could sell you a whole new axe? I think they now only sell 1 T rated pick that fits the Quark/Nomic/Ergo range.

i mean would it be possible to buy the new nomics and put the extra ergo rest on it?
