Whether back country skiing, trail running or climbing – stop and go activities usually get you breaking into a sweat. When maintaining body temperature is of importance, enter the new Phase Base Layer Collection from Arc'teryx.

Engineered with Phasic technology, the Phase line is designed to wick perspiration, dry super quickly and resist odour thanks to encapsulated anti-bacterial silver ions. What's more, they offer the added bonus of inter-woven UV SPF 50 protection and are of course completely anti-chafe.

Phasic is an innovative performance-based technology which rapidly transports perspiration during an active, athletic phase, disperses moisture across the garment in the recovery phase, and dries out quickly while at rest. Coming in three weights of fabric, the Phase collection has something for every type of athlete, providing a warm foundation under a mid-layer, or acting as a primary layer on a warmer winter day.

  • SL – (Super-light): Silk feather-light tanks, tops, tees and boxers for warm/hot weather activities like trail running and adventure racing.
  • AR – (All- round): Lightly-insulated, pill-resistant singlets, zip-necks and crews for 'fastpacking' and other demanding activities in cooler temperatures.
  • SV – (Severe): Moderately-lofted hoodies, boot cut bottoms, crews, and zip necks perfect for snowshoeing and Nordic/backcountry skiing in winter weather.

As you can expect from Arc'teryx all products, the Phase Line offers incredible fit and comfort in a palette of stunning colourways. So whatever sport you're into once you try the new Phasic technology, there will be no turning back.

What is 'fastpacking' and 'colourways'?

" Engineered with Phasic technology" oh really, what IS it? "the Phase line is designed to wick perspiration, dry super quickly and resist odour thanks to encapsulated anti-bacterial silver ions." isnt this what a multitude of baselayers already do? "What's more, they offer the added bonus of inter-woven UV SPF 50 protection and are of course completely anti-chafe." again, already baselayers like the lowe alpine dryflo have already achieved this have they not?

fastpacking is lightweight backpacking, and colourways is a ridiculous way of saying that the garments are available in different colours
