The Blue Ice 45L Backpack is the larger weekend version of the 30L Backpack but is optimised for carrying heavier loads without sacrificing lightness. Its clean design is very versitile: it easily carries two ice axes, a pair of skis or snowboard, and has two gear loops on the hipbelt for easily assessing your blinders when climbing. Its central zip allows easy access to the contents without opening the top lid. When weight is a critical factor, the pack can be stripped down to only 650g.

Further features include:

  • Two removable compression straps that stretch over the pack with strong aluminium buckles
  • Rope holder
  • 2 gear loops and carabiner slots
  • 3 point hauling system
  • An internal pocket for a hydration system up to 2L
  • Inner safety pocket to store valuables with YKK zips
  • Stabalisation straps
  • Removable stable hip belt
  • Pre-curved erganomic back panel and shoulder straps
  • Recycled 500D Polyester
  • Total weight of only 1375g

I have been using Blue Ice Bags for a while now I I can say that they are excellent. I love that you can strip away all the excess stuff and leave yourself a very basic light bag. Really comfortable on approaches and easy to use on the hill.
