Running throughout summer, from May until September, the Leading Aggregate is a fun climbing competition for lead climbers of all abilities with new routes to attempt every few weeks. Taking part is a great way to increase your motivation and improve your overall climbing ability with regular climbing sessions.
The first 20 routes are now available to climb and more guest route setters are planned throughout the duration of the Aggregate.
How does the Leading Aggregate work?
Each route included in the Leading Aggregate will be assigned a number, clearly displayed at the base of the route.
Each route can be attempted as many times as you like but must be climbed "clean" (no resting or using aid) from the starting holds to successfully clipping the belay at the top of the route to qualify as a successful ascent.
For every route successfully climbed, you will be awarded 1 point, so even if you climb the hardest routes, you still need to climb the lower grades to stand a chance of winning. Your belayer will need to initial and date your scorecard to validate each successful ascent.
Routes will be available to attempt for 2 months, after which the numbered tags will be removed.
