Garmin is one of the world's leaders in GPS navigation systems and produces specialist products for everything from the aviation industry to in-car satnavs. They also produce a fantastic range of GPS navigation units designed specifically for outdoor users.
Their latest model, the Fenix, crams all of their know-how and technology into a unit the size of a watch and is the ultimate do-it-all tool for the mountains. As well as featuring a built-in altimeter, barometer and compass (to enable accurate monitoring of weather conditions and direction), for the first time Garmin have suceeded in using their GPS technologies in a tiny unit.
